Hot Football Transfer Gossip: Man Utd ‘plan Busquets raid’

The Boss of Goss Keving Darling says Manchester United are allegedly "preparing a raid" for Barcelona's linchpin midfielder Sergio Busquets.

.
The world’s worst newspapers have seemingly put their heads together to develop an exciting new method of unearthing sensational transfer stories in recent weeks, which is obviously great news for Hot Football Transfer Gossip. Let’s call it the “new deal method”.
It’s terribly simple. All it requires is a vague rumour that a top player is having “contract talks” with his club, but that they have “stalled”. That creates just about enough uncertainly about that player’s future to allow you to throw another club into the mix and claim they are going to take advantage of the situation by swooping for the “unsettled” star.
And using the “new deal method”, today we bring you some huge news: Sergio Busquets is going to Manchester United.

The Express claims that the Red Devils are “preparing a raid” for the midfielder after his requests for pay parity with Gerard Pique and Luis Suarez at the Nou Camp were apparently ignored. A slight hitch in United’s plan is that Busquets’ current deal runs until 2019, but the Express assures us that they are in “pole position” to land the 27-year-old “if negotiations over a new contract break down completely”.
The brilliance of the new deal method is that players are frequently in discussions with their clubs about improving or renewing their contracts, and it can be a lengthy process. So, although this is the first time we’ve seen it suggested that Busquets could quit his beloved Barcelona for Old Trafford, this one could run and run.
The new deal of another Barcelona star, Neymar, may stipulate that from now on he has to walk around with MC Hammer’s ‘You Can’t Touch This’ playing in the background at all times. That’s because Spanish paper Marca says the club will strictly forbid approaches of any description for the Brazilian forward, and also because it is a good song.
Goal reports that Arsenal want to sign 18-year-old AC Milan midfielder Manuel Locatelli, who sounds like an even more loco version of Mario Balotelli, while Theo Walcott has been tipped to leave the Gunners if he doesn’t make England’s Euro 2016 squad (Bleacher Report).

Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid have confirmed that they want to re-sign wantaway Chelsea striker Diego Costa (Mirror), Robert Lewandowski has urged his Bayern Munich team-mate Mario Gotze not to join Liverpool (Liverpool Echo) and Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has “personally scouted” Everton’s Romelu Lukaku (Star).
Finally, the Sun says “twitchy” Jose Mourinho wants a “written promise” that he will be appointed as Man Utd manager in the summer. Otherwise known as a contract?
