As part of efforts to end the ongoing crisis between the government and workers, the Ondo State House of Assembly on Thursday approved access to N14.16bn loan from the federal government.
The legislative endorsement was taken at the plenary sitting of the Assembly on Thursday where the members passed a motion to enable the state government access the loan.
The House said it gave the legislative approval so as to enable the government meet with its financial responsibilities which included, the salaries of the workers and pensioners allowances.
During the session, the Majority Leader of the House, Mr. Henry Akinsoyinu, who represents Ondo West II Constituency moved the motion that the state government should go ahead and access the loan and was seconded by Mr. Olugbenga Araoyinbo from Akoko North-West Constituency II.
