Arsenal were eliminated from the Carabao Cup in tame fashion after a 3-1 defeat at West Ham on Wednesday night. Mikel Arteta made six changes from the lineup that defeated Sheffield United 5-0 the previous Saturday, but his periphery players were unable to make an impression on a dreadful evening in east London.
The visitors undoubtedly had the upper hand in the first half, but they trailed at the break after Ben White headed into his own net. However, Arteta's side were poor after the break, as strikes from Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen saw the Hammers extend their lead.
